About Wendy

I’m not running against anyone. I’m running for something.

I’m running for integrity. For ethical leadership. For accountability. For a new way forward that puts people before power and service before position.

I believe leadership is a calling, not a title. It means making hard decisions with the whole community in mind. It means owning your mistakes. It means showing up when it’s uncomfortable. And it means choosing what’s right, even when it’s not easy.

You’ll hear people say they’re “not a politician.” I don’t care about labels. I care about responsibility. Public office isn’t about image, it’s about impact. Every decision affects real families, real businesses, and real futures.

If you want the same leadership and the same results, choose the same path.

But if you want someone who is one of you, a native of Northwest Arkansas, someone who loves this community, has planted roots here, and has proven that your voices matter, then stand with me.

If you want someone who knows struggle, who has lived it, grown through it, and built something meaningful through hard work and faith, then stand with me.

If you want someone with vision and humility, courage and compassion, ideas and ears open to yours, then stand with me.

Centerton is growing. That’s reality. The question isn’t if we grow, it’s how we grow.

We can grow divided and reactive — or we can grow intentional and united.

I choose together. If you do too, join me. Let’s build the Centerton our children, our grandchildren, and future generations deserve.

Forward … together.

A lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas, Wendy Henson has announced her candidacy for Mayor of Centerton, citing a deep commitment to service, responsibility, and care for the people who call Centerton home.

“Serving this community has never been about a title for me,” Wendy said. “It’s about responsibility, followthrough, and being willing to step in when there is a real need.”

Born and raised in the area, Wendy attended school in the Bentonville School District from kindergarten through graduation. Having witnessed Centerton’s rapid growth firsthand, Wendy says that experience has shaped a serious and thoughtful approach to leadership.

“Growth brings opportunity, but it also brings challenges,” Wendy said. “Those challenges require leaders who are grounded, who ask hard questions, and who put people first in every decision.”

Wendy’s service to the community has taken many forms. She is the founder of the Centerton Senior Center and Centerton Cares and continues to serve actively in both organizations. In addition, Wendy owns and operates a local business in Centerton and currently serves on the Centerton City Council.

“Each of these roles has reinforced my belief that leadership is about listening, advocating for people, and staying engaged — even when the conversations are difficult,” Wendy said.

Through her work, Wendy has demonstrated a commitment to asking the right questions, standing up for residents, and working collaboratively to address challenges and find solutions. A strong believer in unity, Wendy emphasizes open communication and community collaboration as essential to Centerton’s future.

“I approach leadership knowing that decisions made at the local level affect real families and real lives,” Wendy said. “That understanding guides how I lead, how I listen, and how I serve.”

Wendy said her decision to run is rooted in a desire to continue serving Centerton with integrity, consistency, and care.

“Centerton deserves leadership guided by values and committed to advocating for our community and its people,” Wendy said. “My goal is to help move our community forward … together.”
